Why do some people have trouble being effective in their roles or working well with others? It is usually not because they lack skills; rather, it is often because they lack emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence has a far greater impact on people’s ability to be productive and work well with others than cognitive intelligence. Emotionally intelligent people are able to identify and assess their emotions and those of others, and then use that information to guide their actions and influence the actions of others. This webinar reviews how to utilize emotional intelligence more effectively through self-assessment and skill development exercises. Viewers will learn strategies that will increase their ability to engage with others and expand their influence.

About the Trainer

David has provided leadership for various non-profit organizations for over 25 years. He has a degree in philosophy, a diploma in counseling, as well as certifications in conflict resolution and mediation. In addition to training with ACHIEVE, David works in the field of mediation where he volunteers as a mediator for the court diversion program in Manitoba. In whatever role David finds himself, his passion for motivating people to continue on their personal journey of learning and growth shines through. David believes that no matter what our role is in the workplace, we can all continue to grow in our skills to improve our own life and to help improve the lives of others. As a trainer, he is known for his dynamic workshop facilitation that combines humor and real-world application.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled seven or more days prior to the event are refundable, minus a administrative fee. Alternatively, you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than seven days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend the event, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify ACHIEVE of the name of the alternate person.

We reserve the right to cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of event fees only.

To register a group for a workshop, choose the appropriate number you would like to register for the selected workshop, and fill in all the relevant information.

Continuing Education Credit

While many associations and licensing bodies accept ACHIEVE workshops for continuing education credits, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body for which you are requesting the credits. Credit hours: There are six continuing education credits earned for each day of training. For example, a one-day workshop earns six continuing education hours, while a two-day workshop earns 12 hours. A certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the workshop.

Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event are non-refundable. If at anytime you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify CTRI of the name of the alternate person who will be attending.
